Dennenwolfsklauw is een sterk bedreigde soort in Nederland, maar recent is een relatief groot aantal nieuwe vindplaatsen vastgesteld, vooral in het noorden van het land. Sinds 1982 zijn planten gevonden op 29 locaties.
