The Galerkin method is used for the resonant frequency calculation, and the computation time is largely reduced by evaluating the integrals analytically.

A Broadband Hybrid Monopole-Dielectric Resonator Water Antenna
IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2017A broadband hybrid water antenna operating at very high frequency (VHF) band is presented, in which a simple seawater monopole is loaded with two distilled water cylinders working as dielectric resonators (DRs). By employing the loading technique, multiple close resonances are introduced to broaden the impedance bandwidth of the seawater antenna.

A new hybrid skirt monopole dielectric resonator antenna

In this method, two parallel rectangular metallic strips are added to the two parallel flat sides of the DRA which are normal to the feeding slot.

Ultra wideband double-step hybrid rectangular dielectric resonator antenna
2013 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium (APSURSI), 2013In this paper, a novel ultra wideband compact size hybrid rectangular step dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is proposed. The aim from the design process is to get an ultra wide impedance bandwidth with stable radiation pattern through the operating frequency. The entire simulation results have been obtained by using CST simulation software.
