In vitro models of cancer‐associated fibroblast heterogeneity uncover subtype‐specific effects of CRISPR perturbations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Conversion and verification procedure for goal-based control programs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Fault tolerance and safety verification of control systems are essential for the success of autonomous robotic systems. A control architecture called Mission Data System, developed at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, takes a goal-based control approach. In

Decay widths in the massive Schwinger model [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
By a closer inspection of the massive Schwinger model within mass perturbation theory we find that, in addition to the $n$-boson bound states, a further type of hybrid bound states has to be included into the model.

Perspectives in educating molecular pathologists on liquid biopsy: Toward integrative, equitable, and decentralized precision oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Liquid biopsy enables minimally invasive, real‐time molecular profiling through analysis of circulating biomarkers in biological fluids. This Perspective highlights the importance of training pathologists through integrative educational programs, such as the European Masters in Molecular Pathology, to ensure effective and equitable implementation of ...

LINC01116, a hypoxia‐lncRNA marker of pathological lymphangiogenesis and poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

The Use of Data Mining Techniques in Predicting the Noise Emitted By the Trailing Edge of Aerodynamic Objects

open access: yesJOIV: International Journal on Informatics Visualization, 2019
Aerodynamic is a branch of fluid dynamics that evaluates the behavior of airflow and its interaction with moving objects. The most important application of aerodynamic is in aerospace engineering, designing and construction of flying objects.

Hybrid Models

open access: yes, 2023
AbstractHybrid models that combine aspects of the Digital OEM and the Digital Equipment Operator are more often the norm than the exception. Nevertheless, differentiating between these two roles can be very helpful for understanding many of the different concepts associated with them.

Crucial parameters for precise copy number variation detection in formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded solid cancer samples

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that copy number variations (CNVs) can be reliably detected in formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded (FFPE) solid cancer samples using ultra‐low‐pass whole‐genome sequencing, provided that key (pre)‐analytical parameters are optimized.
