The Use of Data Mining Techniques in Predicting the Noise Emitted By the Trailing Edge of Aerodynamic Objects

open access: yesJOIV: International Journal on Informatics Visualization, 2019
Aerodynamic is a branch of fluid dynamics that evaluates the behavior of airflow and its interaction with moving objects. The most important application of aerodynamic is in aerospace engineering, designing and construction of flying objects.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

A solar cooling plant: a benchmark for hybrid systems control [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This paper describes the hybrid model of a solar cooling plant. This modelconsiders all possible operating modes of the process, which are modelled as a nitestate machine whose transition conditions are given by the discrete variables.

NKCC1: A key regulator of glioblastoma progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioblastoma (GBM) progression is driven by disrupted chloride cotransporter homeostasis. NKCC1 is highly expressed in stem‐like, astrocytic, and progenitor cells, correlating with earlier recurrence, while overall survival remains unaffected. NKCC1 serves as a prognostic marker and potential therapeutic target, linking chloride transporter imbalance ...

A Simulation Model for Hybrid Multicast [PDF]

open access: yes2014 Eighth International Conference on Next Generation Mobile Apps, Services and Technologies, 2014
In order to achieve one-to-many data delivery on the internet, native multicast is used and implemented in some parts of the Internet. On the other hand, application layer multicast (ALM), which uses P2P overlays (overlay multicast, OM), can be used to create multicast trees and deliver the data at the application layer.

Metastasis on pause: How dormant tumor cells stay hidden within the tumor microenvironment and evade immune surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Hybrid model for vascular tree structures [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
This paper proposes a new representation scheme of the cerebral blood vessels. This model provides information on the semantics of the vascular structure: the topological relationships between vessels and the labeling of vascular accidents ...
