Injury Risks to a Migratory Freshwater Fish During Downstream Passage Through a Regulated Floodplain Outlet: A Case Study on Golden Perch ( Macquaria ambigua )

open access: yesRiver Research and Applications, Volume 42, Issue 4, Page 812-823, May 2026.
ABSTRACT River infrastructures such as weirs, dams, inlet and outlet regulators often impair connectivity, leading to degradation and loss of key habitats for riverine fishes. This also holds true for golden perch ( Macquaria ambigua Richardson), a migratory species in Australia's Murray–Darling Basin. Regulated outlets between main stem and floodplain

Beyond feasibility filters: How expertise heterogeneity enables innovation recognition

open access: yesStrategic Management Journal, Volume 47, Issue 5, Page 1368-1432, May 2026.
Abstract Research Summary Organizations often struggle to identify promising innovations that balance novelty and feasibility in multidisciplinary domains, yet how does evaluator expertise heterogeneity shape these assessments? This study examines how evaluator expertise influences innovation evaluation through a field experiment with National ...

On‐Demand Activation of Thin Alginate Shell Encapsulated Volatile Liquid for Untethered Pneumatic Soft Actuation

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 28, Issue 8, 22 April 2026.
Phase‐changing liquids enable untethered pneumatic actuation in soft robotics but suffer from volatility and storage challenges. This work reports a simple method to encapsulate Novec 7000 within micron‐thin alginate shells via in situ injection and ionic crosslinking.

Methane and Ethane Emission Rates, Intensities, and Trends: Aircraft Mass Balance Insights Over the Denver‐Julesburg Basin, Fall 2021

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, Volume 131, Issue 7, 16 April 2026.
Abstract Despite a 2.1‐fold increase in oil and gas (O&G) production from 2012 to 2021 in the Wattenberg Field (WF) area of the Denver‐Julesburg Basin (DJB), total methane (CH4) emissions have remained unchanged within measurement uncertainties (26.0 ± 6.8 t/hr in 2012, 24.0 ± 5 t/hr in 2015, and 21.4 ± 5.7 t/hr in 2021), while ethane (C2H6) emissions ...

Impact of Seasonal Composition on the Long‐Term Performance of Post‐Consumer Recycled Polypropylene

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 143, Issue 15, April 15, 2026.
Ten batches of post‐consumer polypropylene recyclate were examined over a period of 15 months. Despite identical MFR and density specifications, there were significant differences in their composition, affecting mechanical performance. Elongation at break and crack resistance varied particularly strongly.
