Ligand-controlled regiodivergent and enantioselective C–H cyanation of secondary amines

open access: yesNature Communications
Aliphatic amines, such as N,N-dialkyl secondary amines, represent important scaffolds in bioactive molecules, driving significant interest in their regio- and stereoselective C–H functionalisation.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

C2H2 semi-hydrogenation on the PdxMy cluster/graphdiyne catalysts: Effects of cluster composition and size on the activity and selectivity

open access: yesGreen Energy & Environment, 2022
C2H2 semi-hydrogenation has been widely applied in industry to eliminate trace C2H2 from C2H4 feed. C2H2 semi-hydrogenation to C2H4 on a series of the newly designed catalysts, graphdiyne (GDY) as a new carbon allotrope supported different sizes of PdxMy

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Monolayer via Hydrogenation

open access: yes, 2022
The realization of two-dimensional (2D) magnetism opens an unprecedented possibility for building future magnetoelectric nanodevices; however, wide application is still restricted by the lack of a material platform with a simultaneously large magnetic ...

Improvement of the selectivity of isophorone hydrogenation by Lewis acids [PDF]

open access: yesRoyal Society Open Science, 2018
The selective hydrogenation of isophorone (3,5,5-trimethyl-2- cyclohexen-1-one) to produce 3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexanone (TMCH), an important organic solvent and pharmaceutical intermediate, is of significance in industry.
