Water‐in‐oil emulsion templating of isocyanates: end‐capping, foaming, porous structures and cell growth

open access: yesPolymer International, EarlyView.
Emulsion‐templated and foamed highly interconnected, porous, biodegradable poly(urethane urea) monoliths from isocyanate end‐capped polyols (polycaprolactone or polylactide) or a lysine‐derived diisocyanate exhibited cell growth with potential for tissue engineering applications.

SIMPLEX Enriches Hydrophobic and Lipidated Proteins in Membrane Proteomics Experiments

open access: yesPROTEOMICS, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Synaptosomes (Syn) and synaptic junctions (SJ) are key neuronal compartments that have been widely characterized in omics studies to understand neurotransmitter‐ and signal transduction‐related events. While synapses are lipid‐rich, multiomics approaches integrating lipids and proteins remain largely underexplored.

Copolymer Synthesis of N‐Vinylacetamide and 2‐Methylene‐1,3‐Dioxepane Provides a New Degradable Polymer

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, Volume 63, Issue 6, Page 1306-1318, 15 March 2025.
ABSTRACT N‐vinylamides, especially noncyclic N‐vinylacetamide (NVA), have been used in various applications such as biomaterials, surfactants, and hydrogels. However, their potential to copolymerize with cyclic ketene acetal (CKA) to create degradable polymers is underexplored.

Systematic Investigation of a Crown Ether Functionalized PS‐b‐PMAA Block Copolymer for Optimized Lithium Extraction From Aqueous Media

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Crown ether (CE) functionalized polystyrene‐block‐poly(methacrylic acid) (PS‐b‐PMAA) material (PS‐b‐P(MAA‐r‐CE3MA)) forms lithium‐CE sandwich complexes with high selectivity. The complexation strength of PS‐b‐P(MAA‐r‐CE3MA) was determined in a two‐phase extraction.
