Inclusion complexation between piroxicam (PX) and hydroxypropyl-beta-cyclodextrin (HPbetaCD) in the presence of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) was studied in aqueous solution and in the solid state. Phase solubility studies were used to evaluate the HPbetaCD complexation in the presence of HPMC.
