A Path Planning Algorithm using Generalized Potential Model for Hyper- Redundant Robots with 2-DOF Joints

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, 2011
This paper proposes a potential‐based path planning algorithm of articulated robots with 2‐DOF joints. The algorithm is an extension of a previous algorithm developed for 3‐DOF joints.

Systematic redundant residue number system codes: analytical upper bound and iterative decoding performance over AWGN and Rayleigh channels

open access: yes, 2006
The novel family of redundant residue number system (RRNS) codes is studied. RRNS codes constitute maximum–minimum distance block codes, exhibiting identical distance properties to Reed–Solomon codes.

Hodgkin lymphoma of the ampulla of Vater: A rare cause of obstructive jaundice in children

open access: yesJPGN Reports, EarlyView.
Abstract Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) has a wide spectrum of presentation. Most cases affect lymph nodes (nodal), while extranodal involvement is rare. Whereas the gastrointestinal tract is enriched with lymphoid tissues, the ampulla of Vater is not rich in lymphoid tissue. Involvement of the ampulla of Vater with HL has rarely been reported in adults and has

Biologically-inspired data decorrelation for hyper-spectral imaging

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2011
Hyper-spectral data allows the construction of more robust statistical models to sample the material properties than the standard tri-chromatic color representation.

Molecular descriptor driven QSPR modeling of Papp, TEER and Efflux Ratio from Caco‐2 cells using machine learning for various phytochemicals

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, EarlyView.
Abstract BACKGROUND The present study aimed to develop and validate quantitative structure–property relationship (QSPR) models for predicting permeability related bioavailability indicators including apparent permeability (Papp), trans‐epithelial electrical resistance (TEER) and efflux ratio (ER) based on molecular descriptors (n = 5003) of 83 ...

Design of cable-driven modules for hyper-redundant manipulators

open access: yes, 2010
The interior of the wing compartments of the aircraft are highly confined, thus making it impossible for any conventional robotic arm to perform inspection directly.

Ginsenoside Rg1 Ameliorates LPS‐Induced Sepsis‐Associated Lung Injury in Mice via VEGFC/D‐VEGFR3 Signaling‐Mediated Lymphangiogenesis and Lymphatic Remodeling

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sepsis‐induced acute lung injury (ALI) remains challenging to treat, with conventional anti‐inflammatory therapies offering limited efficacy. The lymphatic system is crucial for removing edema and inflammatory mediators, and its impairment can exacerbate lung injury.
