Incidence of amlodipine-induced gingival overgrowth in the rural population of Loni

open access: yesJournal of Indian Society of Periodontology, 2014
Aims: Since the incidence of gingival overgrowth induced by amlodipine remains poorly defined, this study was carried out with an aim to determine the incidence.

Spectral region optimization for Raman-based optical diagnosis of inflammatory lesions [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2009
FT-Raman Spectroscopy was applied to identify biochemical alterations existing between inflammatory fibrous hyperplasia (IFH) and normal tissues of buccal mucosa. One important implication of this study is related to the cancer lesion border. In fact, the cancerous normal border line is characterized by the presence of inflammation and its correct ...

Proteomic signature of muscle fibre hyperplasia in response to faba bean intake in grass carp

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Fish muscle growth is important for the rapidly developing global aquaculture industry, particularly with respect to production and quality. Changes in muscle fibre size are accomplished by altering the balance between protein synthesis and proteolysis ...

Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of Disease in Childhood, 1974
Congenital adrenocortical hyperplasia is a complex endocrine disorder of importance to the paediatric urologist because it produces an intersex state in the female and precocious virilisation in the male. The excessive secretion of androgens by the foetal adrenal cortex commences in early foetal life at some time after the differentiation of the ...

Endocervical glandular neoplasia associated with lobular endocervical glandular hyperplasia is HPV-independent and correlates with carbonic anhydrase-IX expression: a Gynaecological Oncology Group Study. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
BackgroundLobular endocervical glandular hyperplasia (LEGH) is a rare lesion of the uterine cervix. It has been proposed that LEGH may represent a precursor lesion to a group of mucinous adenocarcinoma with gastric phenotype (GA) that is independent of ...

DNA‐PKcs‐Driven YAP1 Phosphorylation and Nuclear Translocation: a Key Regulator of Ferroptosis in Hyperglycemia‐Induced Cardiac Dysfunction in Type 1 Diabetes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In the context of chronic hyperglycemia, a DDR is initiated, leading to the pathological activation of DNA‐PKcs in the diabetic heart. This activated DNA‐PKcs directly interacts with and phosphorylates YAP1 at Thr226, thereby increasing the nuclear expression of YAP1.

The efficacy of nitroglycerin to prevent radial artery spasm and occlusion during and after transradial catheterization: A systematic review and meta‐analysis of randomized controlled trials

open access: yesClinical Cardiology, Volume 45, Issue 12, Page 1171-1183, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Radial artery spasm (RAS) is the most common cause of transradial access site crossover and is a common intra‐procedural complication. RAS incidence can lead to radial artery occlusion (RAO) postprocedure, preventing the radial artery as a future access site.

New classification system of endometrial hyperplasia WHO 2014 and its clinical implications

open access: yesPrzeglad menopauzalny = Menopause review, 2017
Endometrial hyperplasia (EH) is a pathological condition characterised by hyperplastic changes in endometrial glandular and stromal structures lining the uterine cavity. Endometrial hyperplasia, particularly with atypia, is a significant clinical concern

Multifocal epithelial hyperplasia

open access: yesNorth American Journal of Medical Sciences, 2012
Dear Editor, In 1956, Estrada reported on the presence of multiple intraoral soft tissue lesions discovered in Colombian Caramanta Indians.[1] Later, Soneira and Fonseca reviewing Venezuelan Indians, found 54 patients with oral papulo-nodular lesions. They must be credited with the first complete description of this entity and suggested this disease

Exploring the Latent Information in Spatial Transcriptomics Data via Multi‐View Graph Convolutional Network Based on Implicit Contrastive Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
STMIGCL is an implicit contrastive learning‐based multi‐view graph convolutional network framework designed for downstream tasks such as spatial domain recognition, trajectory inference, and spatially variable gene identification. By combining multi‐view learning with contrastive learning and employing contrastive learning methods that enhance contrast
