Enfortumab Vedotin–Induced Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis in Metastatic Urothelial Carcinoma Complicated by Severe Gastrointestinal Bleeding

open access: yesIJU Case Reports, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Enfortumab vedotin (EV) has been reported to cause skin toxicity in some patients. We report a rare case of toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) induced by EV and complicated by severe gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding. Case Presentation A 70‐year‐old man with recurrent urothelial carcinoma developed a trunk rash at 16 days after EV ...

Analysis of Differentially Expressed Proteins Involved in Shrimp and Crab Allergies

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
Using proteomics techniques, we identified 90 differentially expressed proteins in children with shrimp and crab allergies compared to normal controls, with 82 upregulated and 8 downregulated proteins. Validation of MRC2 upregulation by ELISA in allergic patients highlights the potential role of this protein in the allergic response.

Potential Mechanisms for IgG4 Inhibition of Immediate Hypersensitivity Reactions

open access: yesCurrent Allergy and Asthma Reports, 2016
IgG4 is the least abundant IgG subclass in human serum, representing less than 5 % of all IgG. Increases in IgG4 occur following chronic exposure to antigen and are generally associated with states of immune tolerance. In line with this, IgG4 is regarded

Randomized clinical trial evaluating kinetic benefits of desensitizing agents: Magnitude, onset, and stability of relief

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Dentin hypersensitivity (DH) is common, particularly among periodontal patients. This trial evaluated magnitude of desensitizing benefit, onset of action, and complete relief of three dentifrices with distinct desensitizing technologies.
