Biomaterial Hypersensitivity: Is It Real? Supportive Evidence and Approach Considerations for Metal Allergic Patients following Total Knee Arthroplasty

open access: yesBioMed Research International, 2015
The prospect of biomaterial hypersensitivity developing in response to joint implant materials was first presented more than 30 years ago. Many studies have established probable causation between first-generation metal-on-metal hip implants and ...

Differential Immune Cell Infiltration in Eosinophilic and Non‐Eosinophilic CRS: Correlations With Clinical, Endoscopic, and Radiological Findings

open access: yesInternational Forum of Allergy &Rhinology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The pathogenesis of inflammation in eosinophilic chronic rhinosinusitis (ECRS) and non‐eosinophilic chronic rhinosinusitis (NECRS) remains poorly understood. This study aimed to assess immune cell infiltration within the sinonasal microenvironment in these conditions.

Parametric Hypersensitivity and Transport in the Steady-State Open-System Holstein Model [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
We demonstrate that the nonequilibrium steady state (NESS) of an open-system Holstein model with linear bias displays extreme sensitivity to the closed system parameters. This sensitivity is shown to correspond to avoided crossings in the closed system spectrum, as previously demonstrated in the Rabi model.

Effect of Er:YAG, Co2 lasers, papain, and bromelain enzymes dentin treatment on shear bond strength of composite resin

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Dental Research, Volume 8, Issue 6, Page 1575-1581, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Objective Effective bond strength of composite resin restoration leads to its durability, so evaluation of dentin surface treatment with enzymes and laser for higher bond strength is an important factor. Materials and Methods Sixty human molar teeth were cut at a depth of 2 mm of occlusal part and divided into six groups (n = 10).
