ICAM-1 expression and the soluble ICAM-1 level for evaluating the metastatic potential of gastric cancer [PDF]
AbstractICAM‐1 plays an important role in cell–cell and cell–extracellular matrix interactions, especially tumor invasion and cytotoxicity of lymphocytes. In the present study, the relationship between metastasis of gastric cancer and ICAM‐1 expression by cancer cells or the serum level of s‐ICAM‐1 was (s‐ICAM‐1) was examined.

Wound Healing Characteristics of ICAM-1 Null Mice Devoid of All Isoforms of ICAM-1 [PDF]
Intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) permits leukocyte-endothelial adhesion and transmigration during inflammation. Membrane-bound ICAM-1 knockout mice have been used to understand this molecule's role in wound-healing, but expressed spliced isoforms of ICAM-1 that may have impacted results.

Value of ICAM-1 Expression and Soluble ICAM-1 Level as a Marker of Activity in Sarcoidosis
Chest, 1999The natural course of sarcoidosis is variable, but no single parameter has been generally accepted as a good marker for disease activity. Adhesion molecules are required for the migration of inflammatory cells; thus, they may be markers of activity in sarcoidosis. In 16 patients with active sarcoidosis and 11 with inactive disease (10 were male, 17 were

ICAM-1 signaling in endothelial cells
Pharmacological Reports, 2009Intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1; CD54) is a 90 kDa member of the immunoglobulin (Ig) superfamily and is critical for the firm arrest and transmigration of leukocytes out of blood vessels and into tissues. ICAM-1 is constitutively present on endothelial cells, but its expression is increased by proinflammatory cytokines.

Sequence and expression of rat ICAM-1
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Gene Structure and Expression, 1992We have isolated cDNA clones-coding for rat intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (RICAM-1) from a cDNA library constructed from rat Ax cells stimulated with IL-1 beta using the mouse ICAM-1 cDNA as a hybridization probe. The RICAM-1 sequence shows 79.1% homology with mouse ICAM-1 and 55.6% homology with human ICAM-1 at the nucleic acid level.
