Malectin alleviates high glucose‐induced ER stress and damage in placental trophoblasts, a function dependent on its six critical carbohydrate‐binding residues. In a GDM mouse model, administration of TAT‐Malectin ameliorated hyperglycemia and placental ER stress and prevented fetal macrosomia.

Perivascular matrix densification promotes the emergence of aberrant endothelial tip cells (ATECs) that invade and persist within fibrotic microenvironments. Using in vivo lineage tracing and a human microvessel model, this study shows that fibrous matrix cues destabilize VE‐cadherin–mediated junctions to gate TGF‐β signaling, inducing a pro ...

We report a new thiolate‐reactive α,α‐gem‐dibromo lactam warhead that activates transcription factor Nrf2 and demonstrates anti‐inflammatory activities, which have implications in cancer, neurodegeneration, and cardiovascular diseases. RNA‐seq illuminated detailed transcriptional profiles, and chemical reactions with cysteine‐containing compounds ...

Observed bottom warming in the East Siberian Sea driven by the intensified vertical mixing [PDF]
The East Siberian Sea (ESS) features the broadest continental shelf on Earth and contains nearly 80 % of the world's subsea permafrost. A persistently cold bottom layer, with temperatures at freezing point, inhibits the downward transport of heat, thus ...

This study presents a human Bone (and Bone Marrow)‐on‐a‐Chip model based on native human bone scaffolds and autologous cells. Dynamic perfusion and sequential cell seeding replicate the physiological bone remodeling process in vitro, enabling the long‐term culture of functional, mature bone marrow immune subpopulations.

A time‐multiplexed nanobody‐functionalized organic electrochemical transistor enables rapid and sensitive detection of three respiratory viral proteins from saliva. Sequentially addressed multi‐gate electrodes on a shared channel achieve around 1 fm detection within 15 min without sample preprocessing. Clinical validation demonstrates high specificity,

Surface topography modelling and ice flow velocity mapping of Dalk Glacier, East Antarctica: application of UAV remote sensing [PDF]
The Antarctic Ice Sheet is the largest potential contributor to global sea level rise due to global climate warming, making it important to monitor changes in the marginal outlet glacier dynamics and surface topography. The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV),
