Infrared spectroscopy of HCOOH in interstellar ice analogues
Context: HCOOH is one of the more common species in interstellar ices with abundances of 1-5% with respect to solid H2O. Aims: This study aims at characterizing the HCOOH spectral features in astrophysically relevant ice mixtures in order to interpret ...

Theoretical Spectra of Terrestrial Exoplanet Surfaces [PDF]
We investigate spectra of airless rocky exoplanets with a theoretical framework that self-consistently treats reflection and thermal emission. We find that a silicate surface on an exoplanet is spectroscopically detectable via prominent Si-O features in ...

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Infrared Band Strengths of Dangling OH Features in Amorphous Water at 20 K
Infrared (IR) spectra of vapor-deposited amorphous water at low temperatures show two weak peaks at around 3720 and 3696 cm ^−1 assigned to free-OH stretching modes of two- and three-coordinated water molecules (so-called “dangling” OH bonds ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

The Fate of Frozen Carbonated Water at Europa-like Conditions
We present the results of experiments probing the retention of CO _2 in crystalline water ice, frozen sodium chloride (NaCl) brines, and flash-frozen carbonated water using diffuse reflectance infrared spectroscopy. Characteristic absorptions alluding to

The State of CO and CO2 Ices in the Kuiper Belt as Seen by JWST
JWST has shown that CO _2 and CO are common on the surfaces of objects in the Kuiper Belt and have apparent surface coverages even higher than that of water ice, though water ice is expected to be significantly more abundant in the bulk composition ...

Quantification of segregation dynamics in ice mixtures
(Abridged) The observed presence of pure CO2 ice in protostellar envelopes is attributed to thermally induced ice segregation, but a lack of quantitative experimental data has prevented its use as a temperature probe. Quantitative segregation studies are

CO2 Ice toward Low-luminosity, Embedded Protostars: Evidence for Episodic Mass Accretion via Chemical History [PDF]
We present Spitzer IRS spectroscopy of CO2 ice bending mode spectra at 15.2 micrometer toward 19 young stellar objects with luminosity lower than 1 Lsun (3 with luminosity lower than 0.1 Lsun). Ice on dust grain surfaces can encode the history of heating
