Engineering transient dynamics of artificial cells by stochastic distribution of enzymes

open access: yesNature Communications, 2021
Here the authors develop a coacervate micromotor that can display autonomous motion as a result of stochastic distribution of propelling units. This stochastic-induced mobility is validated and explained through experiments and theory.

A first insight into the microstructure and crack propagation in novel boron nitride nanosheet/3YTZP composites

open access: yesBoletín de la Sociedad Española de Cerámica y Vidrio, 2021
In this work, novel 3 mol% yttria tetragonal zirconia polycristalline (3YTZP) ceramic composites with boron nitride nanosheets (BNNS) are investigated for the first time.

Thermal Control of Concentric Topographies Patterned by Dynamic Electro‐Templated Generated Chiral Solitonic Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An electro‐templating strategy directs the relaxation of cholesteric finger loops into discrete concentric rings whose geometry is electrically programmed. The photopolymerized structures retain the topological defect pattern and, upon heating, show reversible, castle‐like surface modulation.

Estudo Locacional da Cotonicultura de Mato Grosso com Base na Arrecadação de ICMS de 2008

open access: yesDesenvolvimento em Questão, 2013
The economic activities related to cotton production chain are not evenly distributed within the territory of Mato Grosso, to be of fundamental importance to identify the location of the regions and the influence of the production cluster.

Using a computationally driven screening to enhance magnetocaloric effect of metal monoborides

open access: yesJPhys Energy, 2023
In most cases, substitution studies that aim to optimize magnetic properties are performed at the magnetic atomic site. However, in the case of MnB, magnetic substitutions at the Mn site significantly decrease the once promising magnetocaloric and ...

Evolution in the Iron Abundance of the ICM [PDF]

open access: yesProgress of Theoretical Physics Supplement, 2007
We present a Chandra analysis of the X-ray spectra of 56 clusters of galaxies at $z>0.3$, which cover a temperature range of $3> kT > 15$ keV. Our analysis is aimed at measuring the iron abundance in the ICM out to the highest redshift probed to date.

Data‐Driven Analysis of Green Logistics Strategies for the Logistics and Transportation Companies: A Bipolar Fuzzy Methodology

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Global imperatives, such as climate change, environmental concerns, and carbon emissions, make green transformation an inevitability in the logistics sector. Green logistics strategy formulation is an economic choice problem, but it also turns out to be a multicriteria decision‐making (MCDM) process that encompasses the triple bottom line (TBL)

Transendocardial injection of expanded autologous CD34+ cells after myocardial infarction: Design of the EXCELLENT trial

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 1455-1463, April 2025.
Abstract Aims The extent of irreversible cardiomyocyte necrosis after acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is a major determinant of residual left ventricular (LV) function and clinical outcome. Cell therapy based on CD34+ cells has emerged as an option to help repair the myocardium and to improve outcomes.

Impact of Artificial Intelligence-Enhanced Insertable Cardiac Monitors on Device Clinic Workflow and Resource Utilization

open access: yesJACC: Advances
Background: Insertable cardiac monitors (ICMs) are essential for managing arrhythmias but often generate large numbers of transmissions and false alerts. Integrating artificial intelligence (AI) as part of the ICM workflow can reduce this burden. However,
