Immunolocalization of target autoantigens in IgA pemphigus
Clinical and Experimental Dermatology, 2004IgA pemphigus is a rare autoimmune bullous disease characterized by IgA deposition at keratinocyte cell surfaces. Clinically and histologically, IgA pemphigus is divided into two major subtypes: subcorneal pustular dermatosis (SPD) type and intraepidermal neutrophilic IgA dermatosis (IEN) type. Using cDNA transfection and living cell immunofluorescence,

IgA pemphigus: lumping or splitting?
British Journal of Dermatology, 2017Unlike the progress that has been achieved in understanding the complex molecular basis of pemphigus vulgaris (PV)1, the pathogenesis of IgA pemphigus (IGAP) remains elusive. Hashimoto et al.2 described 49 IGAP cases and their immuno-phenotype based on extensive laboratory workup.

Atypical pemphigus associated with monoclonal IgA gammopathy
Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, 1995We describe a 60-year-old woman with atypical pemphigus and IgA-lambda monoclonal gammopathy. Histopathologic study of vesiculopustular lesions showed intraepidermal acantholytic and neutrophilic blisters. Direct immunofluorescence revealed intercellular IgG deposition with concurrent deposits of IgA and C3.

Abstract: Immune‐mediated blistering diseases are rare in childhood, with the subset of IgA pemphigus being extremely uncommon. A child with a bullous disorder of the oral mucosa, skin, and colon is reported because of the unusual nature of the clinical and laboratory findings.

[Efficacy of acitretin in IgA pemphigus].
Annales de dermatologie et de venereologie, 2014IgA pemphigus is a particular entity among autoimmune blistering intraepidermal diseases. IgA pemphigus is subdivided into two types: intraepidermal neutrophilic IgA dermatosis and subcorneal pustular dermatosis. We report the case of an 82-year-old woman with intraepidermal neutrophilic IgA pemphigus associated with IgA gammopathy.

IgA pemphigus is a relatively newly described, rare, autoimmune-mediated blistering disease characterized by the presence of specific IgA autoantibodies directed to desmosomal proteins of epidermis. We report on a 77-year old female patient who presented with erythematous patches on her forehead, scalp, skin of the trunki, proximal parts of extremities
