IgG4-related disease

open access: yesOkayama Igakkai Zasshi (Journal of Okayama Medical Association), 2010
IgG4-related disease is a recently recognized systemic syndrome characterized by mass-forming lesions, mainly in exocrine tissue, that consist of lymphoplasmacytic infiltrates and sclerosis. There are numerous IgG4+ plasma cells in the affected tissues, and the serum IgG4 level is elevated in these patients.

Unique Features of Nasal Airway and Airflow Improvement Post‐Dupilumab: A Computational Cohort Study

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
The impact of dupilumab on nasal airway patency and airflow is not uniform. It is more pronounced in the middle and superior, but not inferior meatus. These unique regional changes significantly correlate with and potentially drive the improvement in patient symptoms.

Recent Advances (2023–2025) of Capillary Electrophoresis‐Mass Spectrometry (CE‐MS) for Top‐Down Proteomics

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Top‐down proteomics (TDP) characterizes proteoforms in cells, tissues, and biofluids, in discovery mode and on a global scale, requiring analytical tools with high peak capacity for proteoform separation and high sensitivity for proteoform detection, given the extremely high proteoform complexity and wide proteoform concentration dynamic range.

IGG4: Not Only for Allergists

open access: yesInternational Journal of Immunopathology and Pharmacology, 2013
We describe herein a case of IgG4-related disease with the isolated clinical presentation of malabsorption due to pancreatic failure. Histology of an abdominal lymph node was critical for diagnosis. IgG4-related disease is increasingly recognized as an immunological disorder that can mimic various clinical entities.

Cellular Mechanism and Key Insights in Allergen Immunotherapy for Allergic Rhinitis

open access: yesWorld Journal of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Allergic rhinitis (AR) arises from immune responses mediated by immunoglobulin E (IgE) to inhaled allergens, representing one of the most prevalent chronic conditions worldwide. Although AR may not be a serious ailment, it holds clinical relevance as it underpins numerous complications, serves as a major risk factor for suboptimal asthma ...

Sequence of Immunological Events During IgE‐Mediated Allergic Reactions to Food

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Food allergies (FA) represent a significant global health burden. Upon allergen re‐exposure, allergic patients exhibit a sequence of symptoms that vary in terms of affected organ systems, severity, time of onset and allergen reactivity thresholds.

IgG4-related inflammatory pseudotumor of the central nervous system responsive to mycophenolate mofetil

open access: yes, 2012
Orbital apex and skull base masses often present with neuro-ophthalmic signs and symptoms. Though the localization of these syndromes and visualization of the responsible lesion on imaging is typically straightforward, definitive diagnosis usually relies
