RT-PCR DETECTION OF ASPARAGUS 2 ILARVIRUS
Acta Horticulturae, 2002Asparagus 2 ilarvirus (AV-2) is a major viral disease of asparagus that is transmitted through seed, sap and pollen. Therefore it is important for breeders to produce seed that is free of AV-2. In order to develop a more sensitive test for detection of AV-2, we designed PCR primers to amplify the coat protein gene and 3’ untranslated region of RNA3 of ...

The complete nucleotide sequenceof prune dwarf ilarvirus RNA-1
Archives of Virology, 1997The sequence of prune dwarf ilarvirus (PDV) RNA-1 has been determined; it consists of 3,374 nucleotides and contains a single open reading frame of 3,168 nucleotides. The putative translation product is 1,055 amino acids in length with a calculated molecular mass of 118.9 kDa.

PCR assays for the detection of members of the genus Ilarvirus and family Bromoviridae
Journal of Virological Methods, 2010A PCR assay was developed for the universal detection of ilarviruses using primers designed to the RNA-dependent RNA polymerase gene in RNA2. The assay detected 32 isolates of 15 definite and 2 tentative ilarvirus species using a one-step RT-PCR. The assay was more specific, and at least as sensitive as a commercial assay, and allowed direct sequencing

Identification of Hosts for Ilarvirus Associated with Sunflower Necrosis Disease
Acta Phytopathologica et Entomologica Hungarica, 2005Sunflower necrosis virus (SFNV) has a wide host range, which includes many cultivated crops and weed hosts. Fifteen plant species belonging to Fabaceae, 3 plant species belonging to Malvaceae, 6 plant species belonging to Cucurbitaceae, 3 plant species belonging to Solanaceae and one plant species each belonging to Caricaceae and Moringaceae were found

Complete genome sequence of peanut virus C, a putative novel ilarvirus
Archives of Virology, 2018We determined the complete genome sequence of a putative novel ilarvirus, tentatively named "peanut virus C" (PVC), identified in peanut (Arachis hypogaea). The three segmented genomic RNA molecules of PVC were 3474 (RNA1), 2925 (RNA2), and 2160 (RNA3) nucleotides in length, with five predicted open reading frames containing conserved domains and ...

Characterization of an Ilarvirus Associated with a Necrotic Shock Reaction in Blueberry
Phytopathology, 1991Blueberry bushes with scorch symptoms were found during a survey of blueberry fields in coastal British Columbia, Washington, and Oregon. Some were infected with blueberry scorch carlavirus; others in Washington and Oregon were found to contain a second virus, for which the name blueberry shock ilarvirus (BSIC) is proposed.
