A Watermarking-Based Image Ownership and Tampering Authentication Scheme

open access: yes, 2009
[[abstract]]Nowadays, image authentication schemes are widely applied to ownership protection and tampering detection of digital images. In this paper, we propose an image ownership and tampering authentication scheme based on watermarking techniques ...

On the issue of ensuring secure access to information systems using biometric authentication based on a fuzzy image of the user’s identity and neural network transformations

open access: yesВестник Дагестанского государственного технического университета: Технические науки
Objective. In modern conditions, cryptographic personal authentication technologies are used to access information systems, based on processing biometric information and converting the user’s biometric images into his personal access code. A current area

E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ability to induce apoptosis by TGF‐β is frequently lost in advanced lung adenocarcinoma despite intact TGF‐β signaling. We identify E2A as a mutant KRAS–dependent mediator of resistance to TGF‐β–induced apoptosis. TGF‐β induces E2A via SMAD3 in mutant KRAS cells, and E2A silencing restores apoptosis and enhances radiation response in cell lines ...

Transparent authentication methodology in electronic education

open access: yes, 2014
In the context of on-line assessment in e-learning, a problem arises when a student taking an exam may wish to cheat by handing over personal credentials to someone else to take their place in an exam, Another problem is that there is no method for ...

Digital Signature-Based Image Authentication

open access: yes, 2005
This chapter is intended to disseminate the concept of digital signature-based image authentication. Capabilities of digital signature-based image authentication and its superiority over watermarking-based approaches are described first.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Image Authentication under DCT Domain with Attack Recovery

open access: yes, 2013
Image authentication schemes verify the integrity of an image against malicious manipulations. Most image authentication methods treat all manipulations as attacks.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.
