Image cytometry of insular carcinoma
Diagnostic Cytopathology, 2011AbstractTo study the morphometric features of insular carcinoma (IC) of thyroid and follicular carcinoma (FC) in fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) smear to evaluate the role of the morphometric features to distinguish these two groups. We performed image morphometry in Hematoxyline and Eosin stained FNAC smears of eight each histopathology proven ...

Imaging cytometry by multiparameter fluorescence
Cytometry, 1991AbstractA system is described for performing multicolor fluorescence image cytometry of cell preparations. After the setting up stage, the operation is automatic: the microscope fields are found and focused; then images are acquired for each fluorophore, corrected and analyzed, without any operator interaction.

MULTISPECTRAL IMAGING FLOW CYTOMETRY
2007 4th IEEE International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging: From Nano to Macro, 2007Flow cytometry has been an accepted technique for high throughput cellular analysis for several decades. It is unique in its ability to analyze large numbers of cells directly in fluid suspension, but it lacks any spatial resolution. A number of approaches have been taken to add imaging capabilities to flow cytometry, but generally at the expense of ...

DNA analysis with flow cytometry and image cytometry in colorectal polyps
Surgical Endoscopy, 1994Ploidy was studied with flow and image cytometry in 51 polyps removed endoscopically from 44 patients. Evaluation was carried out on frozen material in 34 cases and on material fixed in formalin and embedded in paraffin in the remaining 17. Data analysis showed a statistically significant correlation between polyp size and aneuploidy frequency (P > 0 ...

Competence on demand in DNA image cytometry
Pathology - Research and Practice, 2000Quantitation methods in clinical pathology have to be normalized and standardized both from the instrumental and the methodological point of view to guarantee a defined level of precision and accuracy independent of the site where they are applied.

Diseases of the Colon & Rectum, 1992
In 68 patients the DNA content of tumor cells was measured by image cytometry after resection of the rectum because of cancer. In the DNA histogram a differentiation between diploid (n = 19), polyploid (n = 24), hypotriploid (n = 17), and hypertriploid (n = 8) tumors was possible.

Human cell, 1994
A new system of image cytometry, a fully integrated optical microscope and computer workstation for the pathology laboratory, was reviewed. This system is useful in research in distribution of DNA mass, cell proliferation, hormone receptor, and cancer gene expression.
