Paper chromatographic identification of cyclic imino acids
Journal of Chromatography A, 1960Abstract The paper chromatography of cyclic imino acids in several systems has been studied. The color reactions, which may also be helfpul in their identification, have been examined.

Imino acid transport in human diploid fibroblasts
Experimental Cell Research, 1979Abstract These studies describe the transport of proline and hydroxyproline in human diploid fibroblasts. Inhibition and kinetic analysis demonstrate that proline is actively transported by the “A” neutral amino acid carrier. Proline transport is Na + dependent and is particularly sensitive to sulfhydryl inhibitors and ouabain.

Imino acid biosynthesis in Delonix regia
Phytochemistry, 1971Abstract The biosynthesis of l -azetidine-2-carboxylic acid and trans -3-hydroxy- l -proline has been studied in Delonix regia seedlings by labelled precursor feeding techniques. α,γ-Diaminobutyric acid was incorporated into azetidine-2-carboxylic acid more efficiently than homoserine, methionine or aspartic acid.

Nucleic acid base grafted imino polyurethane
Journal of Polymer Science Part A: Polymer Chemistry, 1988AbstractPreparation of two model polymers of polynucleotides with linear polyurethane backbone and 2‐(thymin‐1‐yl)propionyl or 2‐(uracil‐1‐yl)propionyl group as grafted pendant are described. 2‐(Thymin‐1‐yl)propionic acid (TPA) and 2‐(uracil‐1‐yl)propionic acid (UPA) were grafted into partial imino functionalized polyurethane, poly[(β,β′‐diethylene ...

Brønsted acid promoted imino-ene reactions
Tetrahedron Letters, 2008Abstract A series of all-carbon olefins react with glyoxylate derived imines in the presence of a phosphonic acid through an ene reaction. The isolation of the α-aminoester products is a clear indication that Bronsted acids efficiently promote the imino-ene reaction with hydrocarbon nucleophiles to deliver functionalized α-aminoesters in good yield ...

Defective imino acid metabolism in hypoglycin-treated rats
Biochemical Medicine, 1984Oral administration of hypoglycin (5-6 mg/100 g body wt) to weanling rats produces, in addition to the well-recognized organic aciduria, pronounced iminoacidemia, hyperiminoacidura, and decreased activity of proline and hydroxyproline oxidases.

Intestinal transport of cyclic and noncyclic imino acids
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Specialized Section on Biophysical Subjects, 1964Abstract 1. 1. Employing hamster everted intestinal sacs, the transport of l -phenylalanine and l -proline against a concentration gradient had the following indentical characteristics: spatial distribution of transport, inhibition by absence of Na+ from the medium, inhibition by NaCN but not by propionitrile, lack of effect of added ascorbic ...
