Frequency-domain immersion technique for accurate optical property measurements of turbid media
Optics Letters, 1999We demonstrate that absorption coefficient micro(a) and reduced scattering coefficient micro(s)(?) of a small turbid object can be measured to high accuracy with a frequency-domain immersion technique. For this technique the sample is immersed in a calibrated scattering medium and the optical properties are obtained from a differential measurement ...

2019 IEEE 20th International Conference on Dielectric Liquids (ICDL), 2019
Frequency domain spectrum is regarded as a reflection of insulation material’s dielectric process such as conductance and polarization which provides non-destructive insulation diagnosis on power equipment nowadays. Theories and explanations on this method are controversial with plenty of arguments, which limits its further application.

High frequency limiting virtual-mass coefficients of heaving half-immersed spheres
Journal of Fluid Mechanics, 1977High frequency surface waves are generated by the forced heaving of either two half-immersed spheres in infinite water or by a half-immersed sphere in a hemispherical lake. The virtual-mass coefficients can be found, to leading order, in terms of wave-free limit potentials.

The frequency of occurrence and severity of side-effects of immersion virtual reality.
Aviation, space, and environmental medicine, 1994Virtual reality (VR) has become increasingly well-known over the last few years. However, little is known about the side-effects of prolonged immersion in VR. This study set out to investigate the frequency of occurrence and severity of side-effects of using an immersion VR system.
