Computational Intelligence Accelerates CRISPR‐Cas‐Based Diagnostic Design

open access: yesiLABMED, EarlyView.
Computational intelligence, including pangenome‐guided target mining, machine‐learning‐based guide RNA optimization, and autonomous AI agents, is shifting CRISPR diagnostic design from empirical screening to systematic, data‐driven engineering and accelerating the path from pathogen discovery to deployable diagnostics.

Extreme Heterophilic Antibody Interference in BNP Immunoassay: A Case Report and Systematic Investigation Protocol

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
A 53 year‐old male with type 2 diabetes presented extremely elevated BNP (> 4000 pg/mL) but normal NT‐proBNP and cardiac function. Systematic verification confirmed severe heterophilic antibody (HAMA) interference in the BNP chemiluminescence immunoassay.

Improving Linkage to the HCV Care Cascade in Nonspecialist Settings: Evaluation of the Performance and Triage Utility of the Elecsys HCV Duo Assay in Japan

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
In nonspecialist departments, most anti‐HCV–positive individuals do not proceed to RNA testing. The Elecsys HCV Duo assay simultaneously detects anti‐HCV antibodies and core antigen from a single blood draw and preferentially identifies patients with clinically meaningful viral loads.

Soluble B7‐H6 as a Novel Diagnostic Biomarker for Post‐Hepatitis B Cirrhosis: A Clinical Value Study

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
This study investigates the potential of soluble B7‐H6 (sB7‐H6) as a novel diagnostic biomarker for post‐hepatitis B cirrhosis. The infographic visually presents the following key points: (1) Liver Disease Progression: Chronic hepatitis B (CHB) progresses to liver cirrhosis (LC), with serum sB7‐H6 levels increasing stepwise as the disease advances. Changes of CEA Diagnostic Performance Under the New Reference Interval Stratified by Age and Sex

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
Our study included patients with lung cancer, breast cancer, and colorectal cancer and apparently healthy individuals, conducted a large case–control study to assess the effects of age and sex on serum concentrations and positive rates of CEA, established age‐ and sex‐stratified reference intervals using indirect methods.
