Detection of Immunoglobulin Y (IgY) in Eggs of Broiler Breeders Fed Crude and Treated Vicia sativa Seeds

A trail of feeding broiler breeders crude and treated Vicia sativa at a rate of 11% and 22%, was conducted to elucidate the effect of using this seed on the egg's IgY content and on the relative weight of the ovarian follicles. Results revealed that crude seeds were effective in significant reduction of IgY content and of the ovarian weight.
