ON THE ASSESSMENT AND TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC PROSTATITIS IN PERSISTENT UROGENITAL CHLAMYDIOSIS

open access: yesAlʹmanah Kliničeskoj Mediciny, 2016
Background: Urogenital chlamydial infection is the most prevalent among sexually transmitted disorders that is associated with high rates of complications (chronic prostatitis, salpingoophoritis, etc.) and adverse outcomes, such as sexual and ...

Semiautomated glycoproteomics data analysis workflow for maximized glycopeptide identification and reliable quantification

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2020
Glycoproteomic data are often very complex, reflecting the high structural diversity of peptide and glycan portions. The use of glycopeptide-centered glycoproteomics by mass spectrometry is rapidly evolving in many research areas, leading to a demand in ...

FGFR Like1 drives esophageal cancer progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and notch signalling: insights from clinical data and next‐generation sequencing analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Clinical analysis reveals significant dysregulation of FGFRL1 in esophageal cancer (EC) patients. RNAi‐coupled next‐generation sequencing (NGS) and in vitro study reveal FGFRL1‐mediated EC progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and Notch pathways. Functional assays confirm its role in tumor growth, migration, and invasion.

Thoracic duct fistula and renal transplantation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1979
Thoracic duct drainage (TDD) was established for 21-115 days in 40 kidney recipients with an average removal per patient day of 4.7 1 lymph and 1.88 billion cells. Cellular and humoral immunity were depressed. TDD and immunosuppressive drugs were started

Correlation between total IgE level and asthma symptom severity in hospitalized children

open access: yesJournal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology: Global
Background: Status asthmaticus is a common reason for hospitalization and pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) admission among children. While previous studies have demonstrated a correlation between elevated IgE levels and asthma severity in outpatient ...

The effect of salubrinal on the endoplasmic reticulum stress pathway in heat‐stressed spermatogonial cells in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study investigates the protective role of salubrinal against heat‐induced endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress in mouse spermatogenic cells (GC1 and GC2). By modulating the ER stress pathway, salubrinal alleviates cellular stress and supports spermatogenic cell survival, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic candidate for heat‐related infertility.

A common theme in interaction of bacterial immunoglobulin-binding proteins with immunoglobulins illustrated in the equine system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The M protein of Streptococcus equi subsp. equi known as fibrinogen-binding protein (FgBP) is a cell wall-associated protein with antiphagocytic activity that binds IgG. Recombinant versions of the seven equine IgG subclasses were used to investigate the
