In vitro immunomodulatory activity of ruthenium complexes

Inflammation Research, 2003
We have explored the in vitro immunomodulatory effects of pure ruthenium red and a series of pyridine and imidazole substituted ruthenium complexes (RCs).Human peripheral blood lymphocytes and purified T cells were used in these studies along with various cell lines.Cells were treated with dilutions of RCs and assessed in various assays of immune ...

Immunomodulatory properties of Mycoplasma pulmonis. I. Characterization of the immunomodulatory activity.

International immunopharmacology, 2002
For many years, it has been recognized that Mycoplasma infection affects the host's immune system in different ways. In this work, experiments were performed to characterize the influence of Mycoplasma pulmonis infection on various immunological parameters and to follow the kinetics of their variations.

Immunomodulatory activities of Nocardia opaca.

Acta microbiologica Polonica, 1994
Nocardia lysozyme digest (NLD), a particulate fraction from Nocardia opaca, is able to induce antitumor activity to SaL-1 tumor cells (lung sarcoma) in Balb/c mice. In mice immunized with NLD inhibition of tumor growth and prolonged survival of tumor bearing animals was observed.

Mechanism of the immunomodulatory activity of glycodelin.

Indian journal of physiology and pharmacology, 2006
Glycodelin, a progesterone regulated protein synthesized by the endometrium (GdA) has been well documented to inhibit the proliferation of activated T-cells and is an indispensable molecule in the maternal system for the establishment, maintenance and progression of pregnancy. Data from our laboratory have unequivocally shown that the immunosuppression
