Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.

Screening and identification of protein 29 of Echinococcus granulosus interacting molecules
IntroductionEg.P29 is a specific protein of E.granulosus metacestod, and has been able to induce high levels of protection in mice and sheep against challenge with protoscolex of E.granulosus.

The nucleosome is the principal structural unit of chromatin. Although many studies focus on individual histone post-translational modifications (PTMs) in isolation, it is important to recognize that multiple histone PTMs can function together or cross ...

Epstein-Barr virus nuclear antigen 3A protein regulates CDKN2B transcription via interaction with MIZ-1 [PDF]
The Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) nuclear antigen 3 family of protein is critical for the EBV-induced primary B-cell growth transformation process. Using a yeast two-hybrid screen we identified 22 novel cellular partners of the EBNA3s. Most importantly, among

Poly(ADP-Ribosyl)ation affects stabilization of CHE-1 protein in response to DNA damage [PDF]
Post-translation modifications play a crucial role in coordinating the cellular response to DNA damage. Double strand DNA breaks (DSBs) trigger the activation of ATM and Chk2 kinases, which represent the primary transducers in the signalling cascade ...

Eicosapentaenoic acid induces DNA demethylation in carcinoma cells through a TET1-dependent mechanism [PDF]
In cancer cells, global genomic hypomethylation is found together with localized hypermethylation of CpG islands within the promoters and regulatory regions of silenced tumor suppressor genes.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.
