Theory of superfast fronts of impact ionization in semiconductor structures [PDF]
We present an analytical theory for impact ionization fronts in reversely biased p^{+}-n-n^{+} structures. The front propagates into a depleted n base with a velocity that exceeds the saturated drift velocity. The front passage generates a dense electron-

Microdroplet impact at very high velocity [PDF]
Water microdroplet impact at velocities up to 100 m/s for droplet diameters from 12 to 100 um is studied. This parameter range covers the transition from capillary-limited to viscosity-limited spreading of the impacting droplet.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Two-fluid tokamak equilibria with reversed magnetic shear and sheared flow
The aim of the present work is to investigate tokamak equilibria with reversed magnetic shear and sheared flow, which may play a role in the formation of internal transport barriers (ITBs), within the framework of two-fluid model.
