Air breakdown characteristics in plane-plane and sphere gap electrode configuration under lightning impulse [PDF]
This report describes the air breakdown characteristics in plane-plane and sphere gap electrode configuration under lightning impulse. The breakdown in air (spark breakdown) is the transition of a non-sustaining discharge into a self sustaining ...

Characteristics of Impulse Discharges in Wet Soil
This paper presents the experimental results related to soil ionization and electrical breakdown in a concentric hemispherical electrode system under lightning impulse voltages. Dynamic voltage-current and impedance-time characteristics of soil ionization were measured and analyzed. Also the electrical breakdowns of the soil gap were investigated.

Low-frequency phase diagram of irradiated graphene and periodically driven spin-1/2 $XY$ chain
We study the Floquet phase diagram of two-dimensional Dirac materials such as graphene and the one-dimensional (1D) spin-1/2 $XY$ model in a transverse field in the presence of periodic time-varying terms in their Hamiltonians in the low drive frequency (

Smoothing of Impulse Noise by Orthogonal Transform [PDF]
Electromagnetic impulse noise which is harmful to signal measurement or transmission of information, is smoothed by the orthogonal transform processor. The idealized impulse noise with infinitesimal duration and Gaussianly-distributed amplitude shows the
