Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Modelling of Green function in a rectangular room based upon the geometrical-filtration model

open access: yesArchives of Acoustics, 2014
Significant problem in room acoustic is evaluating an acoustic quality of projected and modernized rooms. Estimation of room impulse response giving posibility to evaluate the subjective and objective room acoustic properties and hence to run the room ...

Basis Functions for a Transient Analysis of Linear Commensurate Fractional-Order Systems

open access: yesAlgorithms, 2023
In this paper, the possibilities of expressing the natural response of a linear commensurate fractional-order system (FOS) as a linear combination of basis functions are analyzed.

Mode identification by eigensystem realization algorithm through virtual frequency response function

open access: yesStructural Control & Health Monitoring, 2019
Mode identification in civil engineering uses ambient excitation response, where the excitation is assumed to be stationary white noise. However, practical engineering conditions cannot satisfy this assumption of ideal excitation.

Perspectives in educating molecular pathologists on liquid biopsy: Toward integrative, equitable, and decentralized precision oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Liquid biopsy enables minimally invasive, real‐time molecular profiling through analysis of circulating biomarkers in biological fluids. This Perspective highlights the importance of training pathologists through integrative educational programs, such as the European Masters in Molecular Pathology, to ensure effective and equitable implementation of ...

Critical response of a single-degree-of-freedom system with bilinear hysteresis and viscous damping under triple impulse

open access: yesFrontiers in Built Environment
A triple impulse is used as a mathematical model of forward-directivity inputs, which are fault-normal components of near-fault earthquake ground motions. In this paper, two types of the triple impulse input are employed.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Investigation of the Physical Mechanism of Acoustic Attenuation in Viscous Isotropic Solids

open access: yesMicromachines, 2022
The traditional acoustic attenuation coefficient is derived from an analogy of the attenuation of an electromagnetic wave propagating inside a non-ideal medium, featuring only the attenuation of wave propagation. Nonetheless, the particles inside viscous

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

EFFECT OF SHOCKS OF AGRICULTURAL TERMS OF TRADE (TOT) ON SOME AGRICULTURAL INDICATORS IN IRAQ FOR THE PERIOD (1990 - 2019)

open access: yesThe Iraqi Journal of Agricultural science
This study aimed to investigate the impact of agricultural TOT shocks and the strength of their effects on some indicators of the agricultural sector. The research uses VAR, Variance decomposition and IRF approaches.
