Reduced Graphene Oxide Enhances the Vascular Organization and Contractile Performance of Fibrin‐Gelatin‐Based Engineered Cardiac Tissue

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Fibrin–gelatin hydrogels functionalized with reduced graphene oxide create a mechanically stable and bioactive 3D environment for engineered cardiac tissue. The composite matrix promotes endothelial lumen formation, enhances sarcomeric protein expression, and increases contractile performance of embedded cardiomyocytes.

Predicting in vivo protein digestibility from ingredient composition and in vitro digestion

open access: yes
International audienceBackground and objectives. The nutritional quality of proteins depends on their indispensable amino acid profile and their digestibility. Accurate measurement of protein digestibility requires in vivo experimentation, which presents

Barley protein concentrate as a sustainable alternative to soybean meal in diets of hybrid African catfish (Clarias gariepinus × Heterobranchus longifilis)

open access: yesAquaculture Reports
This study aims to evaluate the potential of barley protein concentrate (BPC) as a substitution of soybean meal in the diet of African catfish hybrid (Clarias gariepinus × Heterobranchus longifilis) a hardy, fast-growing freshwater species.

Soft Robotic Excretory Care Simulator for Nursing Education: Functional and Perceptual Biomimetics Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A soft robotic simulator is developed to replicate the digital removal of feces (DRF), a sensitive yet essential nursing procedure. Integrating soft actuators, sensors, and a realistic rectal model, the simulator balances functional fidelity with perceptual realism. Engineering evaluations and nurse feedback confirm its potential to enhance training in

Autonomous Navigation of Pollen‐Inspired Magnetic Microrobots for Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A sunflower pollen‐inspired magnetic microrobot enables controlled rolling navigation in vessel‐like environments. Its open geometry reduces hydrodynamic drag, while vision‐based closed‐loop control, shortest‐path planning, and reinforcement learning support target‐reaching and maze navigation with microrobot‐scale accuracy, highlighting a route toward

Chemical Screening Identifies Danofloxacin as a Self‐Renewal Agonist of Embryonic Stem Cells through Alleviation of HDAC1‐Mediated Deacetylation of Tert and Prdm10

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identified Danofloxacin as a novel supporter of the maintenance of mouse embryonic stem cell (ESC) pluripotency. It functions partially by inhibiting HDAC1, which increases specific histone acetylation marks and activates key genes like Tert and Prdm10.
