Prediction of apparent total tract digestion of crude protein in adult dogs

open access: yesJournal of Animal Science and Technology
To predict the apparent total tract digestibility (ATTD) of crude protein (CP) in dogs we developed an in vitro system using an in vitro digestion method and a statistical analysis.

In vitro and in vivo nutrient digestibility in sheep of rations with and without residue from the extraction of tamarind pulp

open access: yesSemina: Ciências Agrárias, 2015
This study evaluated the digestibility of nutrients by, and parameters associated with, in vitro fermentation using different inocula (sheep ruminal fluid and feces) as well as the in vivo digestibility in sheep that were fed rations with 50% concentrate

Influence of oxidized oils on digestibility of caseins in O/W emulsions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The impact of lipid oxidation on protein modifications in emulsions and the consequences on protein digestibility remains unclear. In this study, this impact is evaluated in casein (6 mg mL(-1)) based emulsions containing oxidized soybean or fish oil (3%)

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Digestibility and ruminal digestion kinetics of corn silage Digestibilidade e cinética da digestão no rúmen de silagem de milho

open access: yesArquivo Brasileiro de Medicina Veterinária e Zootecnia, 2005
The in situ dry matter (DM) disappearance of corn silages in two maturity stages (milk grain and half milk line) of known in vivo and in vitro digestibility was determined, with the main purpose of comparing digestibility values with the ruminal ...

Beef production from feedstuffs conserved using new technologies to reduce negative environmental impacts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
End of project reportMost (ca. 86%) Irish farms make some silage. Besides directly providing feed for livestock, the provision of grass silage within integrated grassland systems makes an important positive contribution to effective grazing management ...

In vitro digestibility and in vivo utilization of xylobiose.

open access: yesNippon Eiyo Shokuryo Gakkaishi, 1991
The digestion of xylobiose was investigated in vitro. Xylobiose was not hydrolyzed by saliva, pancreatin, gastric juice or intestinal mucosa homogenate. The fate of xylobiose was studied after oral administration. The xylobiose ingested was not excreted into feces and urine during 24h after administration.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Nutritional evaluation of partially defatted Hermetia illucens meal in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) diets under commercial-like conditions

open access: yesItalian Journal of Animal Science
This study evaluated the potential of black soldier fly (BSF; Hermetia illucens) meal as a sustainable protein source in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss; initial average weight of 117.1 g) diets under commercial-like conditions (water temperature of ...
