A novel method to allow noninvasive, longitudinal imaging of the murine immune system in vivo [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In vivo imaging has revolutionized understanding of the spatiotemporal complexity that subserves the generation of successful effector and regulatory immune responses.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Pretargeted PET Imaging of trans-Cyclooctene-Modified Porous Silicon Nanoparticles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Pretargeted positron emission tomography (PET) imaging based on bioorthogonal chemical reactions has proven its potential in immunoimaging. It may also have great potential in nanotheranostic applications. Here, we report the first successful pretargeted

VCAM-1 Density and Tumor Perfusion Predict T-cell Infiltration and Treatment Response in Preclinical Models

open access: yesNeoplasia: An International Journal for Oncology Research, 2019
Cancer immunotherapies have demonstrated durable responses in a range of different cancers. However, only a subset of patients responds to these therapies.

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Brain Tissue Conductivity Measurements with MR-Electrical Properties Tomography: An In Vivo Study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
First in vivo brain conductivity reconstructions using Helmholtz MR-Electrical Properties Tomography (MR-EPT) have been published. However, a large variation in the reconstructed conductivity values is reported and these values differ from ex vivo ...

Protocol for in vivo fluorescence lifetime microendoscopic imaging of the murine femoral marrow

open access: yesMethods in Microscopy
We present a protocol for micro-endoscopic fluorescence lifetime imaging in the femoral marrow of mice allowing the analysis of NAD(P)H-dependent metabolism at single cell level, in vivo.

Noninvasive MRI of Endothelial Cell Response to Human Breast Cancer Cells

open access: yesNeoplasia: An International Journal for Oncology Research, 2006
We have developed a noninvasive magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) assay to characterize human umbilical vein endothelial cell (HUVEC) motility, invasion, and network formation in response to the presence of cancer cells.

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.
