When bakers' yeast cells are grown in culture media containing ethanol instead of glucose, uridine nucleosidase specific activity increased up to 10 times its original value. Addition of glucose to ethanol-grown cells caused a rapid drop of uridine nucleosidase activity.

Studies on tRNA Nucleotidyltransferase from Baker's Yeast
European Journal of Biochemistry, 1974A rapid purification method for tRNA nucleotidyltransferase from baker's yeast has been worked out. The enzyme, purified 900‐fold with a yield of 20%, is electrophoretically pure.ATP and CTP protect the enzyme against heat inactivation and are competitive inhibitors for each other in the reaction of CCA attachment.
