Optical resolution by inclusion complex formation

Journal of Inclusion Phenomena, 1984
Novel optical resolutions of guest compounds by inclusion complex formation with optically active host compound are reviewed. Tertiary acetylenic alcohols, cyanohydrins, and secondary alcohols were resolved by complexation with alkaloids such as brucine or sparteine.

Inclusion complexes of coumarin in cucurbiturils

Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry, 2009
Coumarin was found to form stable inclusion complexes with cucurbiturils. In the presence of cucurbit[7]uril (CB[7]), 1 : 1 inclusion complexes were observed in aqueous solution, as monitored by (1)H NMR and UV-visible absorption spectroscopies, and further supported by ab initio calculations, whereas with cucurbit[8]uril (CB[8]) a solid phase 1 : 2 ...

Inclusive rigour for complexity

Journal of Development Effectiveness, 2015
Rigour can be reductionist or inclusive. To learn about and understand conditions of complexity, emergence, nonlinearity and unpredictability, the inclusive rigour of mixed methods has been a step in the right direction. From analysis of mixed methods and participatory approaches and methods, this article postulates canons for inclusive rigour for ...

Cyclodextrin Inclusion Complexes. MM2 Calculations Reproducing Bimodal Inclusions

The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 1994
MM2 calculations correctly reproduce both the X-ray geometry of γ-cyclodextrin and its ability to distinguish between various alkyl substituents on a substrate, leading to different host-guest complexes. The theoretical results show a clear correlation with experiments.

Enrofloxacin inclusion complexes with cyclodextrins

Journal of Inclusion Phenomena and Macrocyclic Chemistry, 2011
Inclusion complexes using α-, β-, γ-, and hydroxypropyl-β-CD (HP-β-CD) were produced with the antibiotic enrofloxacin, with the aim of increasing its solubility by complexation. Phase solubility diagrams were obtained, to confirm the formation of inclusion complexes, and to determine the solubility enhancement and stability constant of each complex ...

INCLUSION COMPLEXES OF CYCLODEXTRINS

2006

Inclusion complexation with cyclodextrins

Minerva Biotecnologica, 2000
Inclusion of guest molecules into the hydrophobic cavity of various cyclodextrins changes the properties of these guest molecules, which can be used for a broad variety of applications. Prediction models obtained from QSAR studies lead to a better understanding of the inclusion mechanism.

Cyclodextrin — Metallocene Inclusion Complexes

1995
After a centenary history the stereochemistry of individual molecules is close to its principal completion. Now aggregates of molecules are becoming a central topic of modem stereochemistry. Therefore the great importance is gained by what can be called ‘Supramolecular Stereochemistry’.
