Markets with bilateral bargaining and incomplete information [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We study the relationship between bargaining and competition with incomplete information. We consider a model with two uninformed and identical buyers and two sellers.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Defense decision-making method based on incomplete information stochastic game

open access: yes网络与信息安全学报, 2018
Most of the stochastic game models to select network defense strategies are composed of matrix game and Markov decision, which assumes that the defender has known the attacker's revenue. This assumption does not conform to the actual situation. The ...

Incomplete conjunctive information

open access: yesComputers & Mathematics with Applications, 1988
AbstractMany information systems capable of handling incomplete or fuzzy information manipulate objects with single-valued attributes. Information is then said to be disjunctive. Information is said to be conjunctive when pertaining to many-valued attributes. While a piece of incomplete disjunctive information is easily represented by means of a set of

Molecular cancer prevention: Intercepting disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Oncological practice must evolve, from treating established tumours to proactive cancer interception before clinical manifestation. This will require mechanistic insight into tumour initiation, validated biomarkers of early disease development and redesigned clinical trials, enabling cancer interception to become a core pillar of oncology with the ...

Planning with Incomplete Information

open access: yes, 2000
Planning is a natural domain of application for frameworks of reasoning about actions and change. In this paper we study how one such framework, the Language E, can form the basis for planning under (possibly) incomplete information.

dUTPase is essential in zebrafish development and possesses several single‐nucleotide variants with pronounced structural and functional consequences

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...

Bargaining with Incomplete Information [PDF]

open access: yes
A central question in economics is understanding the difficulties that parties have in reaching mutually beneficial agreements. Informational differences provide an appealing explanation for bargaining inefficiencies. This chapter provides an overview of
