Assessing Feedback for Indirect Shared Interaction with Public Displays

2011
Interaction is a key element in turning public displays into a platform for social interaction, making them more engaging and valuable. However, interactive features are still rare in public displays, due to the lack of generalised abstractions for incorporating interactivity.

Indirect feedback compensation of CMOS op-amps

2006 IEEE Workshop on Microelectronics and Electron Devices, 2006. WMED '06., 2006
This paper presents the design of CMOS op-amps using indirect feedback compensation technique. The indirect feedback compensation results in much faster and low power op-amps, significant reduction in the layout size and better power supply noise rejection.

Direct versus Indirect Visual Feedback: the Effect of Technology in Neurorehabilitation

2019 9th International IEEE/EMBS Conference on Neural Engineering (NER), 2019
Visuomotor feedback and its impact on performing and learning movements is an extensively studied field, both through the use of experiments under different types of visuomotor feedback, as well as through neurophysiological studies. Neurorehabilitation of the upper-limb relies heavily on repetitive targeted movements and in recent decades, the ...

The impact of direct and indirect feedback on the development of Spanish aspect

open access: yesJournal of Spanish Language Teaching, 2017
This study explores the impact of direct and indirect feedback on the improvement of Spanish past aspect (imperfect/preterit) in writing activities in a third-semester Spanish course.

Unitary vs. Resistive Feedback in CMOS Two-Stage Indirect Current Feedback Instrumentation Amplifiers

2020 27th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems (ICECS), 2020
Two approaches to establish the feedback loop in a two-stage CMOS indirect current feedback (ICF) instrumentation amplifier (IA), i.e., unitary feedback (UF) and resistive feedback (RF), are compared in this paper. To this end, the transistor level implementation of the IA has been enhanced.

Noise model of indirect-feedback sigma-delta image sensors

2013 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2013
A novel architecture for a CMOS image sensor that incorporates a column-level sigma-delta (ΣΔ) analog-to-digital converter is presented. An indirect-feedback readout architecture where the digital output of the ΣΔ modulator is accumulated by a digital counter and converted to an analog voltage that serves as the reference voltage to which the buffered ...

Algebraic conditions for indirect controllability in quantum coherent feedback schemes

2013 European Control Conference (ECC), 2013
In coherent feedback control schemes a target quantum system S is put in contact with an auxiliary system A and the coherent control can directly affect only A. The system S is controlled indirectly through the interaction with A. The system S is said to be indirectly controllable if every unitary transformation can be performed on the state of S with ...

An indirect adaptive feedback attenuation strategy for active vibration control

21st Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation, 2013
From a control point of view, active vibration control requires attenuation of unknown and/or time varying multiple narrow band disturbances. Internal Model Principle (IMP) is currently used for building adaptive active vibration control systems. IMP leads to asymptotic suppression of the disturbances but often introduces in the case of multiple narrow

Analysis of an Unsupervised Indirect Feedback Network

1994
Earlier work by the present author suggested the use of feedback structures to optimize information under conditions of noise at the output, or noise at both input and output (Plumbley, 1993a). Although these models were not designed as models of biological signal processing, the use of a feedback is highly suggestive for the role of the feedback ...
