An ionic liquid extraction process for the separation of indole from wash oil [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Indole is an important industrial substance derived from wash oil, and the traditional alkali fusion method causes serious environmental problems. In this research, imidazolium-based ionic liquids (IBILs) were developed as new extraction agents to ...

Structure Revisions of the Sponge-Derived Dibrominated Bis-indole Alkaloids, Echinosulfone A and the Echinosulfonic Acids A to D [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
The structures of the sponge-derived dibrominated bis-indole alkaloids, namely, echinosulfone A (2) and the echinosulfonic acids A to D (9–12), have been revised based upon reanalysis of their NMR spectroscopic and MS spectrometric data, comparison of ...

Synergistic Probe Combining Lysosome Anchoring and Tumor Defense System Targeting for Precise Tumor Visualization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A new generation of high‐precision fluorescent probes based on the lysosomal characteristics in tumor metabolic reprogramming and overexpressed tumor markers. The probe (CN‐D‐GGT) selectively label cancer cells in co‐culture systems and distinguish tumor lesions from inflamedand normal tissues in vivo, enabling precise tumor imaging.

Synthesis of 3-Substituted Indole by AlCl3-Promoted Reaction of α,β-unsaturated Ketone with Indole [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A one-pot Lewis acid-A one-pot Lewis acid-promoted reaction condition of β,γ-unsaturated ketone with indole was developed for the synthesis of 3-substituted indoles with moderate to good yields.

Sulfated Cyclocarya Paliurus Polysaccharide Sorchestrates the Gut Microbiome to Mobilize a Host‐Derived 12‐HEPE Against Ulcerative Colitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A sulfated polysaccharide (SCP) from Cyclocarya paliurus alleviates ulcerative colitis by reshaping the gut microbiome. This remodeled microbiota orchestrates the upregulation of the host‐derived lipid 12‐HEPE, which directly inhibits the TLR4/NF‐κB pathway to suppress inflammation.

AI‐Designed Cyclic Peptides Enable Controllable Modulation of the CD28 Immune Checkpoint

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
AI‐designed cyclic peptides enable controllable modulation of the CD28 immune checkpoint through reversible disruption of CD28‐CD80/CD86 interactions. The lead peptide, CIP‐3, suppresses T‐cell activation without intrinsic agonist activity, demonstrates dose‐dependent efficacy in a murine colitis model, and attenuates inflammatory cytokine production ...

Molecular Analysis of Indole and Skatole Decomposition Metabolism in Acinetobacter piscicola p38 Utilizing Biochemical and Omics Approaches

open access: yesMicroorganisms
Indole and skatole (3-methylindole, C9H9N) are common nitrogen-containing heterocyclic pollutants found in waste, wastewater treatment plants, and public restrooms and are the most notorious compounds in animal feces.

Beyond Molecular Determinism: State‐Convergent Polymerization as a Functional Design Principle Under Chemical Complexity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work introduces state‐convergent polymerization (SCP), a polymerization framework in which chemically diverse reaction pathways converge toward a reproducible functional polymeric state rather than a defined molecular structure. Using melanin and polydopamine as exemplars, SCP explains how robust polymer functions emerge under chemical and ...
