Substrate Mapping Alters Ventricular Tachycardia Inducibility

Circulation: Arrhythmia and Electrophysiology, 2023
Background: Initiation of ventricular tachycardia (VT) by programmed electrical stimulation (PES) has an important role to allow mapping and assess ablation end points. We hypothesized that substrate mapping may alter VT inducibility by mechanical bumping of critical sites. Methods:

Mapping ethanol-induced deletions

Molecular and General Genetics MGG, 1991
Chromosomal rearrangements, uniformly represented by very large deletions, were stimulated upon transiently exposing Escherichia coli cells with a defective lambda prophage to about 18% (v/v) ethanol. It was shown that the ethanol treatment induced deletion formation rather than enriching for ethanol-tolerant cells.

Chain maps inducing zero homology maps

Mathematical Proceedings of the Cambridge Philosophical Society, 1965
The purpose of this paper is to prove Theorems 1 and 2 below by exhibiting them as special cases of a more general result, Theorem 3, which admits of a simple proof.

Maps which Induce the Zero Map on Homotopy

Canadian Journal of Mathematics, 1968
In this paper, all spaces will have the homotopy type of simply connected CW-complexes, and will have base points which are preserved by maps and homotopies. We denote by [X, Y] the set of homotopy classes of maps from X to Y, and by N[X, Y] the subset of those homotopy classes [ƒ] which induce the zero homomorphism on homotopy, that is, is the zero ...
