ABSTRACT Introduction Patients requiring long‐term continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) generally have poor prognoses. This study evaluated whether adding continuous intravenous sodium infusion (cIVNa) is associated with improved hemodynamics and outcomes in patients undergoing long‐term CRRT for ≥ 7 days.

Higher inductive types, inductive families, and inductive-inductive types [PDF]
Martin-Löf type theory is a formal language which is used both as a foundation for mathematics and the theoretical basis of a range of functional programming languages. Inductive types are an important part of type theory which is necessary to express data types by giving a list of rules stating how to form this data.

The paper explains enumerative induction, the confirmation of a law by its positive instances, in ranking theoretic terms. It gives a ranking theoretic explication of a possible law or a nomological hypothesis. And it shows, finally, that such schemes of enumerative induction uniquely correspond to mixtures of such nomological hypotheses.

ABSTRACT Background Maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients frequently suffer from frailty, characterized by reduced physical function and poor prognosis. Myokines, such as myonectin, secreted by muscle, are emerging regulators of systemic health. This study investigated the relationship between serum myonectin, adipokines (adiponectin, omentin), and ...

Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Let \(I\exists^-_ 1\) be the subsystem of Peano arithmetic obtained by restricting the induction scheme to diophantine formulas without parameters. The main result of the paper says that \(I\exists^-_ 1\vdash IE^-_ 1+E\vdash\) Matijasevič's theorem, where \(IE^-_ 1\) is the scheme of parameter-free bounded existential induction and E is an \(\forall ...
