Research on frequency inertia response control strategy of SCESS‐DFIG system considering variable wind speed

open access: yesJurnal Engineering, 2019
The doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) has insufficient capacity to respond to the frequency inertia of the power grid due to the isolation between the rotor kinetic energy and the power grid by the generator-side converter.

Effects of Generator Ratings on Inertia and Frequency Response in Power Systems

open access: yes, 2021
The increasing share of renewable generation integrated in the traditional power systems network has brought new challenges to the utility. More specifically, the high penetration of solar energy in the network will reduce the total system inertia which ...

Large-amplitude vibration analysis of a strong nonlinear tapered beam using continuous piecewise linearization method

open access: yesJournal of King Saud University: Engineering Sciences, 2022
The large-amplitude free vibrations of an inextensible tapered beam with inertia and static nonlinearities were investigated using the continuous piecewise linearization method (CPLM).

Rotational inertia interface in a dynamic lattice of flexural beams

open access: yes, 2017
The paper presents a novel analysis of a transmission problem for a network of flexural beams incorporating conventional Euler-Bernoulli beams as well as Rayleigh beams with the enhanced rotational inertia.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Plasma extrachromosomal circular DNA as a biomarker in EGFR‐targeted therapy of non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Detection of extrachromosomal circular DNA (eccDNA) in plasma samples from EGFR‐mutated non‐small cell lung cancer patients. Plasma was collected before and during treatment with the EGFR‐tyrosine kinase inhibitor osimertinib. Plasma eccDNA was detected in all cancer samples, and the presence of the EGFR gene on eccDNA serves as a potential biomarker ...

Co-Optimization of Inertia and Droop Control Coefficient for Grid-Forming Photovoltaic-Storage System Considering Capacity Limits

open access: yesZhongguo dianli
As the renewable energy's share in the power system continues to increase, the inertia level of the system gradually decreases. The effective approach to tackle frequency stability issues is to configure energy storage to enable photovoltaic (PV) power ...

Benefits of demand-side response in providing frequency response service in the future GB power system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The demand for ancillary service is expected to increase significantly in the future Great Britain (GB) electricity system due to high penetration of wind.

Survivin and Aurora Kinase A control cell fate decisions during mitosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aurora A interacts with survivin during mitosis and regulates its centromeric role. Loss of Aurora A activity mislocalises survivin, the CPC and BubR1, leading to disruption of the spindle checkpoint and triggering premature mitotic exit, which we refer to as ‘mitotic slippage’.

Global Robustness vs. Local Vulnerabilities in Complex Synchronous Networks

open access: yes, 2019
In complex network-coupled dynamical systems, two questions of central importance are how to identify the most vulnerable components and how to devise a network making the overall system more robust to external perturbations.
