The averted costs due to influenza vaccination with trivalent and quadrivalent vaccines
Now WHO experts annually formulates references on structure of both the 3rd, and 4 valent vaccines against influenza applied worldwide. The purpose of work was the assessment of averted costs due to influenza vaccination with trivalent and quadrivalent ...

Substitutions near the hemagglutinin receptor-binding site determine the antigenic evolution of influenza A H3N2 viruses in U.S. swine [PDF]
Swine influenza A virus is an endemic and economically important pathogen in pigs, with the potential to infect other host species. The hemagglutinin (HA) protein is the primary target of protective immune responses and the major component in swine ...

This study reported renal‐clearable bio‐orthogonal near‐infrared fluorogenic probes (BGRs) that specifically imaging and urinalysis of granzyme B for dynamic evaluation of RCC immunotherapy. BGRs not only differentiate immunotherapeutic responses in orthotopic RCC mice, but also enable sensitive optical urinalysis of granzyme B in clinical specimens ...

Prospects and Challenges in the Development of Universal Influenza Vaccines
Current influenza vaccines offer suboptimal protection and depend on annual reformulation and yearly administration. Vaccine technology has rapidly advanced during the last decade, facilitating development of next-generation influenza vaccines that can ...

Structural Insights Into Man9 Recognition by the HIV Antibody 2G12 Revealed by Paramagnetic NMR
The HIV gp120 glycoprotein displays Man9 oligomannose structures that are recognized by the neutralizing antibody 2G12. Detailed characterization of the binding epitope in solution is important for immunogen design but remains challenging, since the signals of the terminal mannoses from the three arms of Man9 (D1, D2, and D3) cannot be distinguished in

H5N1 influenza vaccine formulated with AS03A induces strong cross-reactive and polyfunctional CD4 T-cell responses [PDF]
Objective Adjuvantation of an H5N1 split-virion influenza vaccine with AS03(A) substantially reduces the antigen dose required to produce a putatively protective humoral response and promotes cross-clade neutralizing responses.

Enhanced Intracellular Stability and Translation Efficiency of mRNA Drugs by a 2‐arm mRNA Platform
We constructed a 2‐arm mRNA, characterized by a unique topology formed through the dimerization of two mRNA 3’ tails. The 2‐arm mRNA improves 3’ tail stability and resistance to nuclease degradation, resulting in an intracellular half‐life of up to 65 h. This method substantially enhances the translation capacity of mRNA drugs.

Secreted Nonstructural Protein 3 is a Pathogenic Determinant of Orbivirus
This study uncovers a conserved PIP2‐dependent secretory pathway of orbivirus NS3 that induces vascular leakage. Pharmacological disruption of PIP2‐NS3 interaction significantly reduces viral pathogenicity and provides protective efficacy in murine models, establishing PIP2‐mediated NS3 secretion as both a key virulence determinant and a promising ...
