An investigation of information seeking behaviour of Computer Science and Information Technology undergraduates: a qualitative approach [PDF]
It is a common fallacy to assume that undergraduates are skilled in finding and evaluating resources for their various learning needs. Information professionals need to find out strategies and courses of action undertaken by undergraduate students in ...

Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Introduction. Information behaviour research often asks causal questions with tools that describe associations. Conventional, regression-based models struggle when constructs are subjective, context-bound, and difficult to estimate. The academic setting

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Information Need and Information Seeking Behaviour
Information need is one of the cognitive needs of humankind. Information need causes information seeking behaviour and these concepts complement each other. Information need and information seeking behaviour are effected by many factors. It is necessary to know these factors in establishing the effective information centers and services.

Self-stigma, alcohol use disorder, information behaviour: a theoretical and conceptual synthesis
Introduction. This study explores how self-stigma influences the information behaviour of individuals living with alcohol use disorder by integrating Goffman’s theory of stigma and impression management with Chatman’s theories of information poverty and

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Beyond information seeking: a general model of information behaviour. [PDF]
Introduction. The aim of the paper is to review models of information behaviour and to propose new models that extend the concept beyond simply information seeking to consider other modes of behaviour. The models chiefly explored are those of Wilson and
