Possibility theory in information fusion
Proceedings of the Third International Conference on Information Fusion, 2000Possibility theory and the body of aggregation operations from fuzzy set theory provide some tools to address the problem of merging information coming from several sources. The approach to fusion is set-theoretic and the choice of conjunctive versus disjunctive fusion modes depends on assumptions on whether all sources are reliable or not. Quantified,

Robust Fusion of Uncertain Information
IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, Part B (Cybernetics), 2003A technique is presented to combine n data points, each available with point-dependent uncertainty, when only a subset of these points come from N/spl Lt/n sources, where N is unknown. We detect the significant modes of the underlying multivariate probability distribution using a generalization of the nonparametric mean shift procedure.

Information Fusion in Continuous Assurance
Journal of Information Systems, 2012ABSTRACTWe extend continuous assurance research by proposing a novel continuous assurance architecture grounded in information fusion research. Existing continuous assurance architectures focus primarily on methods of monitoring assurance clients' systems to detect anomalous activities and have not addressed the question of how to process the detected ...

Information Fusion in Biometrics
2001User verification systems that use a single biometric indicator often have to contend with noisy sensor data, restricted degrees of freedom and unacceptable error rates. Attempting to improve the performance of individual matchers in such situations may not prove to be effective because of these inherent problems.

Information fusion for information superiority
Proceedings of the IEEE 2000 National Aerospace and Electronics Conference. NAECON 2000. Engineering Tomorrow (Cat. No.00CH37093), 2002Information superiority requires the integration and exploitation of multiple data sets from a variety of sources over time and space. To collect, reduce, and enhance data, fusion can process, refine, and provide information to the correct user. This paper will discuss the importance of information fusion to information superiority through the levels ...

Robust fusion of location information
Proceedings. 1988 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2003A sensor fusion problem for location data using statistical decision theory (SDT) is studied. The contribution of this study is the application of SDT to obtain a robust test of the hypothesis that data from different sensors is consistent and a robust procedure for combining the date which pass this preliminary consistency test.

A Review Perceptual Information Fusion
2014 Fourth International Conference on Digital Information and Communication Technology and its Applications (DICTAP), 2014In this document, we propose “A Review of Perceptual Information Fusion”. This paper consists of Human perception, Computer perception, Literature review from much research, including Data Fusion Technique and Neural Networks. In conclusion I will develop these ideas in my research with a view to encourage other researchers in this field.

Information fusion in face identification
Proceedings of the 17th International Conference on Pattern Recognition, 2004. ICPR 2004., 2004Information fusion of multi-modal biometrics has attracted much attention in recent years. However, this paper focuses on the information fusion in single models, that is, the face biometric. Two different representation methods, gray level intensity and Gabor feature, are exploited for fusion.
