Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics, Efficacy and Drug Resistance Selection of Injectable Long‐Acting Lenacapavir Pre‐Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) Against HIV

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, Volume 15, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Oral pre‐exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) can substantially reduce HIV infection risk when taken as prescribed. However, many individuals struggle adhering to the daily regimen. Enteric Nervous System Damage by Food Contaminants: A Pathway to Neurodegeneration?

open access: yesComprehensive Reviews in Food Science and Food Safety, Volume 25, Issue 3, May 2026.
ABSTRACT The enteric nervous system (ENS), a key component of the gut–brain axis, has emerged as a critical player in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease (PD). Novel drugs approved by the EMA, the FDA and the MHRA in 2025: A year in review

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, Volume 183, Issue 9, Page 1779-1813, May 2026.
Abstract In the 2025 novel drug mini‐review, one can take a full measure of the ingenuity that underlies current drug design and development, despite the year's smaller harvest (46 novel drugs) compared to 2024 (53) and 2023 (70). 54% of the novel drugs are first‐in‐class (FIC).

Mechanism of Cardiac Arrest in Fatal Anaphylaxis

open access: yesClinical &Experimental Allergy, Volume 56, Issue 5, Page 506-515, May 2026.
This population‐based retrospective cohort study of clinical deterioration in anaphylaxis deaths identifies bronchospasm as the preponderant cause of cardiac arrest, especially in food and drug allergen exposures. The clinical implication is that anaphylaxis guidelines require appropriate emphasis on respiratory involvement and treatment to prevent ...
