Interface Dynamics in Biomolecular Condensates by High‐Speed AFM

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
High‐speed atomic force microscopy provides nanoscale structural dynamics at the liquid interface of biomolecular condensates, key elements in several cellular pathways. By addressing the challenges of low surface tension and condensate‐induced instabilities, we achieve nanometer spatial and sub‐second temporal resolution, revealing structural ...

Toward Perception‐Native Electronic Skin: Bio‐Inspired In‐/Near‐Sensor and Neuromorphic Computing for Humanoid Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Dense tactile streams from across the humanoid body converge on collide in a central wiring and data bottleneck. By relocating computation closer to and then into the skin itself, near‐ and in‐sensor architectures, together with neuromorphic computing, chart a path toward perception‐native electronic skin, in which the conversion of stimulus into ...

Inhibitory Control of LTP and LTD: Stability of Synapse Strength

open access: yes, 1999
Inhibitory control of LTP and LTD: stability of synapse strength. Although much is known about the induction of synaptic plasticity, the persistence of memories suggests the importance of understanding factors that maintain synaptic strength and prevent ...

An Anti‐Amyloidogenic Approach to Specifically Block Memory Consolidation in Mice for Therapeutic Intervention

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Functional amyloid conversion of the translation regulator CPEB3 is essential for long‐term memory persistence. This study demonstrates that targeting this molecular switch with the anti‐amyloidogenic peptide QBP1 selectively blocks CPEB3 fibrillation without disrupting phase separation.

Afferents from the auditory thalamus synapse on inhibitory interneurons in the lateral nucleus of the amygdala.

open access: yes, 2000
Physiological studies suggest that afferents to the lateral nucleus of the amygdala (LA) from the auditory thalamus initiate feedforward inhibition [Li et al. (1996b)].

Gonadotropin‐Inhibitory Hormone (GnIH) and Its Receptor GPR147 Mediates Acute Stress‐Induced Activation of the Locus Coeruleus‐SAM Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Gonadotropin‐inhibitory hormone (GnIH, also known as RFamide‐related peptide‐3, RFRP‐3) is a hypothalamic neuropeptide that regulates vertebrate reproduction via its receptor GPR147. Although GnIH is known to mediate stress‐induced reproductive suppression, its role in broader stress responses remains unclear.

Stomatin-like Protein 2 Links Mitochondria to T-Cell Receptor Signalosomes at the Immunological Synapse and Enhances T-Cell Activation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
T cell activation through the antigen receptor (TCR) requires sustained signalling from microclusters in the peripheral region of the immunological synapse (IS).
