Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Efficacy and safety of Xingnaojing injection for post-operative patients of intracerebral haemorrhage: a meta-analysis and systematic review

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology
BackgroundIntracerebral haemorrhage (ICH) is the deadliest subtype of stroke. Surgery remains a vital measure for life-saving in emergency situations, however, the recovery of post-operative patients is not optimistic.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

A Logic of Injectivity

open access: yes, 2007
Injectivity of objects with respect to a set $\ch$ of morphisms is an important concept of algebra, model theory and homotopy theory. Here we study the logic of injectivity consequences of $\ch$, by which we understand morphisms $h$ such that injectivity with respect to $\ch$ implies injectivity with respect to $h$.

Performance Comparison of the Vapor-Injection Cycle in Terms of Branching Points of the Injection Stream

open access: yes, 2012
The performance of the two types of vapor-injection (VI) cycles in a heat pump system is compared. The vapor-injection cycle using an internal heat exchanger (IHX) has a choice to select the branching point of the injection stream.

Optimisation of Continuous and Pulsed Cooling in Injection Moulding Processes

open access: yes, 2007
The concept of pulsed cooling in injection moulding involves cycling the flow of coolant in order that cooling only takes place as and when it is required, as opposed to continuous cooling, where the coolant in run through the channels throughout the ...
