Constraints on inputs: actuator saturation
2012This chapter is concerned with designing controllers for linear systems subject to input saturation with the purpose of achieving internal stabilization. This is a prelude to most of the subsequent chapters, and presents basic problem statements of global and semi-global internal stabilization, necessary and sufficient conditions under which such a ...

Integrated guidance and control with input saturation
2017 36th Chinese Control Conference (CCC), 2017Based on backstepping control technique, a novel adaptive integrated guidance and control (IGC) law is presented for missile intercepting maneuvering target with input saturation. To deal with the uncertainties in the IGC system, adaptive control technique is utilized to estimate the upper bounds of the uncertainties.

Robust Stabilization of Multi Input Plants With Saturating Actuators
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2010This technical note proposes the use of a time-varying sliding surface for stabilizing linear, possibly unstable, Multi-Input plants subject to saturating actuators, in the presence of bounded matched uncertainties. The present work generalizes our previous contributions in several different directions. First, the constructive procedure is generalized,

Disturbance attenuation for systems with input saturation: An LMI approach
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1999A new design technique is proposed to improve disturbance attenuation for systems with input saturation. The main results rely on a multiobjective approach which combines the quadratic stabilization technique with constraints on inputs. For the full-state feedback problem, the sufficient conditions for the feasibility of a high-gain controller are ...

Near-Optimal Control with Input Saturation
2019In this chapter, a time-scale expansion-based scheme is presented for approximately solving the optimal control problem of continuous-time underactuated nonlinear systems subject to input constraints and system dynamics. By time-scale Taylor approximation of the original performance index, the optimal control problem is relaxed into an approximated ...

The Stabilization of Switched Systems with Input Saturation
Advanced Materials Research, 2014The paper analyzed the stability of switched systems with input saturation. First it considered a special case: the switched system with only one subsystem. Using a new method to dispose saturation in the system, the paper gets the sufficient condition of stability of the system. Based on the result, the controller of the system is designed.

Optimal Control Applications and Methods, 2016
SummaryIn this paper, distributed model predictive control (MPC) problems are considered for input‐saturated polytopic uncertain systems by a saturation‐dependent Lyapunov function approach. The actuator saturation is processed by the transformation into the linear convex combination form.
