A novel guidance law with input saturation

2016 IEEE 55th Conference on Decision and Control (CDC), 2016
This paper presents a novel path following algorithm for unmanned aerial vehicles in the presence of external wind disturbances. The issue of input saturation due to turn radius constraints is addressed using the theory of nested saturation which is important for real-world systems.

Robust Process Control With Saturated Control Input

ECMS 2014 Proceedings edited by: Flaminio Squazzoni, Fabio Baronio, Claudia Archetti, Marco Castellani, 2014
The contribution presents a methodology to design a robust control loop in case of the saturated control input. The control system design is based on the polynomial approach resulting in the pole-placement problem to be solved. This task is addressed numerically by means of standard MATLAB functions to meet both the constraints on the control input and

Adaptive control with saturating inputs

1986 25th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 1986
An extension of the results from Goodwin, Ramadge and Caines [1] to the case where the input of the linear system saturates is presented. A necessary condition for closed loop stability of such a system is shown to be that the system must remain in a region from which y(t) = 0 is reachable with saturating inputs.
